Say Hello to the 2015 Subaru WRX

2015 Subaru WRX

A few weeks ago at Le Salon International de l'auto in Montreal, Subaru introduced Canada to its new best friend: the 2015 Subaru WRX. That's right, we took our the high-performance model you know and love and made it better than ever. And in March, you'll be able to see it for yourself in the showroom.

Subaru's famous All-Wheel Drive...and then some

It just isn't a Subaru if it isn't equipped with the Subaru symmetrical full-time All-Wheel Drive system and the WRX is, as always, the true symbol of AWD sport performance. But now, the WRX has a new Active Torque Vectoring system that supplements the AWD system, making handling even more precise and allowing you to take corners with ease. The new technology routes power to select wheels as you take a corner and responds to steering input more immediately. How's that for a new and improved driving experience?

All new engine and transmission

Get ready for a new high-performance 2.0-litre horizontally opposed DIT engine. We're talking improved power delivery and amazing efficiency. The new engine is going to give you improved performance over the outgoing model by producing a maximum 268 horsepower.

And then there's the all-new transmission! This is the first time a manual transmission has been paired with the DIT Subaru Boxer engine, OR you can go with the optional Sport Lineatronic transmission. The new six-speed manual optimizes the gear rations and shifter throw from the outgoing five-speed. What does that mean? Your engine speeds will be kept lower for better fuel economy and a quieter ride. And the new Sport Lineatronic transmission will give you the full potential of the boxer engine when it comes to power, torque and eco-friendliness. You'll love driving it!

Hey good lookin'

This is a sports sedan, and it looks it with aggressive yet refined styling. We reshaped the front end with a nose cone design, hexagonal front grille and hawk-eye headlights and enhanced the rear design with a diffuser-integrated bumper and twin dual mufflers. The new 17-inch aluminum allow wheels in gunmetal grey are pretty slick, too.

All this and Subaru safety too

We don't keep our love for safety a secret. In the WRX we took it to the next level. With the AWD system and a lighter body with the VDC system, you're looking at the best hazard avoidance in its class. Your drive will still be exciting but there's no compromising safety. You also get world-class safety performance in collision tests from the front, rear and sides. And, like all Subarus, the ring-shaped reinforcement frame excels in the small overlap test by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
