Another Record Breaking April

subaru-outback_front-angle-970x546-cWe know we’re a little bit late on this one, but Subaru Canada has reported an unprecedented monthly sales record of 5,087 units retailed in April, showcasing an increase of 3.8% over April 2015. Subaru’s high level of sales are shaping the trail towards achieving our fifth consecutive annual sales record. Subaru’s Ontario and western regions are enjoying the best ever regional sales seeing increases of 9.5 and 5.3 percent, respectively.

Chairman, president and CEO of Subaru Canada, Shiro Ohta, says that “April sales roared like a lion, setting an unprecedented new monthly sales record for Subaru Canada and paving the way for a year of growth.” A lion indeed, as the early second-quarter sales milestone has helped Subaru achieve record year-to-date results.

Looking at models that helped Subaru reach this milestone, the Subaru Crosstrek soared with 895 units sold, an increase of 12.3%. Our highest volume model and SUV, the Forester, outsold last April with 1 242 units, up 9.7%. However, the biggest percentage increase came from both the WRX and WRX STI at 53.5%, with a total of 525 units sold it’s the highest monthly sales ever.

Ohta also added that “..With new product arriving in dealerships throughout the summer and into late fall, we will continue to focus on the customer and concentrate on our core brand values.”

We’ve seen this growth first-hand at Subaru of Niagara, and it’s no surprise to us that more and more Canadians are getting themselves into a Subaru! Come visit us for yourself, and you’ll see it too!
