
2017 has been a big year for Subaru! Not only has the Subaru Canada Inc. company had record-breaking months one after the next all year this year, but there is also exciting releases of the new 2018 models! This summer we’ll be seeing new 2018 models of both the Subaru Outback and the Subaru Legacy. Today, we’ve got details for you on specs and pricing breakdowns of both models.
The 2018 Subaru Outback
The 2018 Subaru Outback features a fully refreshed design, with increased capabilities. The Outback is the world’s first sport utility wagon, and the 2018 model gives the Outback a smoother, quieter ride. Subaru has revised the exterior styling of the Outback to reflect the rugged character. The rugged character is achieved through a revised front grille, front bumper, door mirrors and rear bumper.
All 2.5i models are now PZEV-rated, which means that they achieve some of the lowest emissions levels in their class. The interior features incredible compatibility features, such as dual USB slots for rear passengers, an available upgraded A/C unit, and revised HVAC controls. These systems all work together to provide greater functionality for passengers in the car. The new Outback models also all offer improvements to the steering wheel, and steering wheel switch functionality which offers more comfort and convenience.

The 2018 Subaru Legacy
Also coming this summer is the 2018 models of the Subaru Legacy, which offer a more engaging, versatile, and accomplished experience for drivers. The Legacy boasts a sleeker design, both for the interior and the exterior of the car. Subaru has been working hard to improve driver and passenger comfort alike in the Legacy, with entertainment features paired with upgraded safety and security. The new Legacy model also offers an enhanced ride quality, handling and steering feel which offers a more dynamic performance.
Like the Outback, all Legacy 2.5i models are PZEV rated for ultra low emissions. The look of the Legacy has been improved through revisions to the front grille, front bumper, door mirrors, and the rear bumper. This year Subaru focused on improving the safety features, offering a stronger chassis, improved child seat anchors, window off-delay timer, and an all new auto door lock feature. They also offer a collision detection feature, which works with the auto door lock to unlock the doors if necessary.
