4 Things to Know About The New 2017 Subaru Impreza

New Subaru Impreza

Your favourite all wheel drive compact car is returning to the market with a new and improved makeover.  The new Subaru Impreza has all the features you loved about the previous model but has a more attractive and efficient design.  This newer model won’t break the bank either, and includes more attractive incentives than any previous generation.

Sharper Handling

The new generation of Impreza has a new and improved platform that is safer and more efficient than the previous models. It has been crash tested to absorb impact energy 40% better than the previous models.  The car may be larger in size but designers have lowered the average height to improve aerodynamics and gas mileage.  This new generation of Impreza has taken the loose road handling of the previous generation, and lowered the centre of gravity to improve sharper reaction performance. This model’s body is 70% stiffer, improving the responsiveness and driver handling.

Improved Interior

The mild interior has been spiced up and cleaned up.  The dashboards have a sleeker, less complicated design that is both user friendly and attractive.  The resolution of all of the technological displays have been improved and the functionality is considerably easier.  The location of frequently accessed control options have been moved to more accessible locations, making the divers experience safer and more enjoyable.  The fabric options are more modern and include choices like leather with suede trim.

Made in the USA

Previously the manufacturing of Subaru vehicles have been split between plants in Japan and the US.  The new Impreza will be one of the first Subaru vehicles that will be fully manufactured in the US, specifically at a plant located in Lafayette, Indiana.

Price and Performance

The price for the improved model could be comparable to other compact cars manufactured from companies like Volkswagen or Honda that don’t feature all wheel drive.  The Subaru Impreza offers the same incentives as other companies but includes the added safety and handling benefit of all wheel drive in each model.  The general starting price for the upcoming 2017 Subaru Impreza is expected to be around 20K (CAD).
The new Subaru Impreza will not disappoint.  Designers have clearly reviewed all of the complaints about the previous model and acted upon each one.  The latest generation will have all the same qualities that are loved from the previous model but with safety crash absorption abilities and more attractive curb appeal.
