2020 Subaru Legacy Debuts at Canadian International AutoShow

2020 subaru legacy

The future is now as we say hello to the next generation 2020 Subaru Legacy. The debut of the 2020 Subaru Legacy has gathered a lot of buzz as the longest-standing entry in the intermediate sedan segment including all-wheel drive.

Subaru of Niagara supported the unveiling of the vehicle at the 2019 Canadian International AutoShow (CIAS) in Toronto. The seventh generation Legacy will be the first vehicle to offer the new Subaru STARLINK system-a digitized communication system which optimizes safety by allowing drivers to stay connected to their mobile devices, without taking their attention away from the road.

Dynamic and Trusted Design

The 2020 Subaru Legacy stands out with its solid frame, and elegant design. In its interior, an emphasis has been placed on a spacious cabin that offers expanded dimensions as compared to the outgoing model. All interior dimensions have been expanded to improve passenger comfort, including additional leg room.

The console features a tablet-style vertically mounted 11.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system. With thousands of options that combine entertainment, convenience and safety, the system closely mirrors the function of a smartphone.

Contributing to reduced noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) is new sound-insulated glass, which uses a sound-insulating inner film for the windshield and front-door glass. Meanwhile, the glass thickness within the vehicle has been increased, resulting in class-leading silence.

Power of Choice

The 2020 Subaru Legacy offers a smooth and powerful ride, combining style, comfort and safety.
In addition to the standard Symmetrical full-time all-wheel drive, the Legacy also features standard active torque vectoring for improved handling and cornering performance.

The next generation Legacy has a powerful 2.5-litre SUBARU BOXER which features improved parts, as well as direct injection and auto stop/start. The engine produces 182 horsepower and 176 lb. -ft of torque, which results in quicker acceleration and improved efficiency.

First in Class Safety

The all-new Legacy is a leader in safety as it includes Subaru’s innovative DriverFocus Mitigation System that is designed to help identify a distracted or fatigued driver. The system uses facial recognition software to identify signs of driver fatigue or distracted driving. This system also works alongside Subaru’s EyeSight driver assist suite to reduce the likelihood of a collision.
