The highly anticipated 2018 Subaru Crosstrek XV has finally been unveiled. At the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, Subaru finally debuted the new model and the world got its first look.
Following a teaser released by Subaru in January, the car stays true to the refined nature seen in the teaser image. Predictions of the car expected high quality materials in the interior, while feeling more natural and responsive to drive. The reveal of the car proved that Subaru did not disappoint.
The highlights
The Crosstrek features the new Subaru Global Platform for enhanced safety, comfort, and agility for drivers. All models have newly-developed 2.0-litre direct injection engines and Subaru symmetrical full-time all-wheel drive.
The new model also features the new X-MODE, which offers extra control in slippery situations. For further safety, EyeSight driver assist technology is offered in this model. All of this is wrapped up in a rugged and sporty styling, keeping the exterior as appealing as the interior.
DYNAMIC X SOLID design
This brand new model combines the reliable Subaru performance essentials of superior aerodynamics with advanced styling. Aluminum wheels embody the Subaru Crosstrek’s sporty, casual and rugged character.
This character can also be seen through the stylistic details, with the rear combination lights and headlights both featuring the same wide and low motif, hexagonal grille, and matte black cladding.
Outstanding safety features
The EyeSight driver assist technology is the innovative and highly acclaimed driver assist technology through multiple features to help the driver see the entire perimeter around the car. These preventative safety features include Pre-Collision Braking Control, Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist.
The Crosstrek also includes Subaru’s new Steering Responsive Headlights feature, which automatically move the headlight beam to the left or right when the car turns, keeping the direction of travel illuminated.
The new global platform achieves a centre of gravity that is 5mm lower than current Subaru models, which gives the driver much more control. This stunning model makes no compromises on style, quality, or safety.
